Hi, I’m Ann!

I’ve always been a maker.

I grew up watching my dad create just about anything he could imagine. He could draw, paint, carve, build, make jewelry—even make his own tools. I didn’t inherit his ability to draw something from scratch, but I definitely inherited his need to create something and then share it.

Then a friend at work passed around a Stampin’ Up! catalog.

I opened it and immediately thought, “Where did you get this?!”

For the first time, I realized I didn’t have to be an artist to create something beautiful. I could start with an image and use color, paper and my own ideas to make it mine.

I was hooked.

After two years of hosting parties and regularly submitting orders, it finally occurred to me to ask, “Hey… how do I do this?” I became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator—and this year I celebrated my 30th anniversary!

Through the years, home parties became hands-on classes and stamping clubs, all while I raised three children and worked a full-time airline career that lasted 40 years.

Now, as I head into retirement, Waves of Inspiration has become my next adventure.

I’ve taken something I always loved doing around a table with friends and brought it online—and my circle of friends has grown more than I ever imagined.

I love sharing creative ideas because I know that feeling when inspiration suddenly hits. I get lost in my own little creative world until I finally look at what I’ve made and think:

“I did that! I just have to share!”

That’s what I hope you’ll find here—inspiration, encouragement and ideas that make you want to see what you can create.

When I’m not playing with paper and ink, you’ll probably find me crocheting, sewing something for others, or hanging out with my husband and two Boston Terriers.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Happy Crafting,
Ann
